Discos Clássicos do Rock - Faith No More - Angel Dust (1992)

O ano é 1992. Segundo álbum do Faith No More com Mike Patton nos vocais e primeiro com ele na composição. Todo mundo esperava algo ainda mais pop e grudento do que The Real Thing para lançar a banda aos píncaros da glória... Bem, quem mandou esperar? A banda então liderada pelo gênio criativo de Mike Patton veio com um monstro de três cabeças com geleca verde escorrendo pela boca. Angel Dust foi uma rasteira histórica no óbvio, um dos discos mais bizarros e inventivos do rock pesado de todos os tempos. Composições bem trabalhadas e sons de todo o tipo: cantos tribais, sinos, violinos. Na viagem proposta pelo disco, tanto estamos no metal, como no pop, no funk, no experimental. Ambientes orientais, ambientes sombrios, ambientes de festa e folia, ambientes de paz e de caos. E a performance vocal? Sendo o Patton a cargo dela só podemos esperar genialidade. O cara sem dúvida é um mestre ao manejar a voz. Melodias viciantes, sussurros, gargalhadas, gritos viscerais, gozo e ironia são a cereja do bolo de um disco fabuloso.
